Regular First Aid Kit Checks
The Safe Work Australia Model Code of Practice: First aid in the workplace recommends that first aid kits are checked:
After each use, or if the kit has not been used, at least once every 12 months.
These checks should ensure the kit contains a complete set of the required items. Used items should be replaced as soon as practicable, and supplies should be checked to ensure they are in good working order, have not deteriorated, are within their expiry dates and that sterile products remain sealed.
